Summary of all Accordia B2ca-s1,d1,a1 cables

According to the European Construction Products Regulation (CPR), all cables intended for permanent installation in buildings must be tested and classified based on their reaction to fire.

According to the Greek Fire Protection Regulation PD 41/18, cables of highest class B2ca-s1,d1,a1 should be installed in fire-protected escape routes

But beyond the regulation obligations, class B2ca-s1,d1,a1 may be chosen in any case where the planner/specifier or the constructor or the owner wants the best possible reaction to fire.

Just as a data point, when a B2ca class cable burns, total heat released (THR) in MJ is 5 times less than a similar cable of Dca class, while the rate of fire growth (FIGRA) in W/s is  9 times less.
